How to password protect a page

You are able to password-protect any page in the system. This means that you set one single password for the page so the public content is only accessible to people with that password. To enable password protection, simply click into your page and enter a password in the “Password Protect” field in the right column and check the box: Password protect this page. When you click publish, the public-facing page will display a message that says: This page is password protected. [Login].

After someone enters the password, the page will remain open for 1 hour.

Our system allows for one password per page. That single password may be used for multiple pages or you may use a different password per page. Once it is password protected, the page content and page source code are not visible to search engines.

NOTE: Only the Pages module has the password protect option at this time.
